The Chief’s Diary: Engaging with the President of the Sierra Leone Bar Association on the Bill Entitled “The Constitution of Sierra Leone (Amendment) Act, 2025”
This evening, I had a very inspiring and engaging conversation with the President of the Sierra Leone Bar Association, Mrs Tuma Jabbi Gento-Kamara, on the Constitution amendment bill. Her depth of knowledge of the process prior to now and her commitment to ensuring that the views of lawyers are captured in the amendment process are very notable.
Mrs Tuma Gento-Kamara and her entire team have had their heads down in pushing their programs for the Bar Association. Capacity building, securing finances and investments for the Association and more are among things they’re delivering for lawyers in the country. I am definitely very interested in seeing their perspectives in this current amendment process.
