The Chief’s Diary: Sunday In the East End of Freetown (The Chief and the People)
I decided to visit with and listen to our elders, youth and leaders in the east end of Freetown today. For me, I learn best in the communities and I serve best through hands on engagement.
I had a community meeting in Waterloo, visited the legendary Pa Manso Dumbuya in Allen Town, spent time at the SLPP Unity Ataya Base in Calaba Town, engaged youth and watched my dearest Man Utd win in a local cinema in Portee, and had a community meeting in Kissy.
I’ll tell you one thing – the country is far more united than a few disgruntled and unprogressive opposition members want you to think. They don’t have a message so they preach division. The love in the street is there and I am sure together #WeAreDelivering.
