Monday: International Women’s Day Holiday/ Citizen Engagements (Kailahun, Kenema, Bo, Freetown)
Tuesday: Meeting with government and development partners on SGBV to plan male champions’ summit; Presidential Security Meeting
Wednesday: Cabinet Meeting; Meeting with Indian High Commissioner to discuss ongoing bilateral projects including Kono University and the Northern Corridor Transmission Line.
Thursday: Participate in the Presidential Council for Feed Salone to review 2025 and set targets for 2026; Host the former VP of Nigeria on climate resilience and human capital development initiatives; Tripartite Steering Committee meeting to review status of implementation.
Friday: Host ECOWAS Summit planning committee meeting; Host Ministers of Local Government, Planning and Works on Tripartite initiative for road construction in Tonkolili (Magburaka to Bendugu); Host an inter-ministerial meeting on local rice procurement for institutions.
In between the above is a dozen other engagements that give me hope about Salone.
